The Trees

A. Alberts

He was standing under a tree, close to the edge of the forest. He looked up. He saw the treetops moved in the wind. It was as if they were talking to each other. Out loud, he asked: Are you talking?

The trees murmured. He asked: Was it you last night?

The trees nodded.
