Piet Westra (Groningen, 1937) is the former manager of the South African Library and publisher of historical books at Africana Publishers. He has researched the colonial past with particular interest in the East Indie Companie's presence at the Cape of Good Hope. In 2006 he wrote Slave Trade with Madagascar.
