Jelle Brandt Corstius (1978) is generally regarded as the Dutch Michael Palin. Jelle studied History and Journalism, was a correspondent in Moscow, made various television series about life in Russia and wrote six non-fiction books on Russian culture. His Universal Travel Guide for Difficult Countries features practical tips for travelling in countries that score low on hygiene and high on corruption, and it sold over 60,000 copies.
