Donald Niedekker (1963) published the novel Like a Tiger, Like a Snail in 2014. His novel Oksana was shortlisted for the Fintro Literatuurprijs (the former Golden Owl) in 2017. In 2018, the novel Clouds &c. was published, followed in 2019 by This Is how You See Everything which was longlisted for the Boekenbon Literatuurprijs. Niedekker received the Luc Bucquoye-prijs for idiosyncratic literature in 2021.
