Bert Wagendorp (1956) worked as a sports reporter, and correspondent in London. His debut novel The Prologue was published in 1995. Ventoux followed in 2013, and instantly became a bestseller. Ventoux was also turned into a film, directed by the renowned filmmaker Nicole van Kilsdonk. In 2015, Wagendorp wrote his Father & Daughter book with his daughter Hannah. Two years later his novel Masser Brock was published. Wagendorp has also written columns for De Volkskrant since 2006.
