Bregje Hofstede (1988) studied Art History and French in Utrecht, Paris, and Berlin. Her writing has been published in, amongst others, De Gids, Das Magazin, DW B, De Standaard and De Correspondent.
Her first novel The Sky above Paris (2014) was nominated for the Libris Literatuur Prijs, the Gouden Boekenuil, the Opzij Literatuurprijs, the ANV Debutantenprijs, the Bronzen Uil and the Anton Wachterprijs. It was translated into Danish, German and Arabic. In 2016 she published The Rediscovery of the Body at Cossee Essay. Her new, critically acclaimed, novel Drift was published in October 2018.
